English Language Development
Welcome Back English Language Learners! Thank you for taking time to visit my webpage! I am looking forward to continuing to educate your child face-to-face. Please continue to check back to my site and Google Classroom for updated information and changes.
In order to complete the activities, you will need to go to my Google Classroom. There you will find detailed instructions and you will be able to access the materials needed. - NO SCHOOL - WINTER BREAK - Monday, December 25th - Monday, January 1st
Winter Break, there will not be any school from Monday, December 25th through Monday, January 1st. School will resume on Tuesday, January 2nd.
- ACCESS TESTING (English Language Proficiency Testing)
PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!
ACCESS testing will begin on January 4th and continue until February 23rd. Each year, students in English Learner programs take the ACCESS for ELLs language proficiency test. The test measures academic English language proficiency for students learning English in our school and throughout our state. When the district receives the results of this test, an Individual Student Report is also provided. This report provides information about test results for your child. This information is for you to review and keep. Teachers in our school use this information to help them make decisions about instruction for your child. Teachers also use these test scores to monitor the progress you child makes toward English proficiency.
- END OF 2nd QUARTER - Friday, January 12th
Friday, January 12, 2024 is the end of the 2nd quarter marking period.
- NO SCHOOL - Monday, January 15th
On Monday, January 15, 2024, there will not be any school for students. This will be a Teacher In-Service Day.
- 2-HOUR DELAY - Monday, February 12th
Reminder that Monday, February 12th is a Scheduled 2 hour delay day. Busses will pick students up 2 hours later than normal. Elementary school will begin at 10:30
- PARENT / TEACHER CONFERENCES -Monday, February 19th
Parent / Teacher conferences will be held on Monday, February 19th from 2:00pm-6:00pm. If you would like to sign up for a conference, please use the link below. Please indicate whether you would prefer an in-person, phone, or virtual conference.

Guidelines for instructional learning.
In-Person (Face to Face) or Online (Cyber school):
At the beginning of the 2022-2023 School Year, students will have the option to return to in-person learning or to participate in virtual learning via IU8 Extended Campus (cyber school).
FLEXIBLE INSTRUCTION DAYS (FID)
If the district implements a FID, I will be available to answer questions and provide academic support for students. The Teams link is listed below.
