Miss Shaffer's MDS/LSS Classroom!
Hi! My name is Sydney Shaffer and this is my first year teaching! I will be teaching the elementary MDS/ life skills support classroom. I am a recent graduate from University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a bachelors of the arts degree. I am certified to teach early childhood Pre K-4 and special education Pre K- 12. I am so happy to be a Westmont Hilltopper and to make this my new home on the hill!
My favorite things to do when I am not at school is watching movies with my dog Ella, hanging out with friends and family, playing volleyball, trying new restaurants, traveling, and watching Penn State football! If I could I would also be on the beach everyday!
I believe that every child is capable of achieving great things,and I am committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported. I am excited to spend this year getting to know your child andI look forward to partnering with you in your child's education and I am excited about the journey ahead.
