August 18, 2022-Westmont Hilltop - The Westmont Hilltop School District teachers and staff are excitedly preparing for the first day of student instruction for the 2022-2023 school year on Wednesday, August 24.
In order to help prepare for this transition, families, and students of the district are invited to attend Back-To-School Night on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at the following locations and times:
Westmont Hilltop Elementary School, 827 Diamond Boulevard
Grades K-2: 5:00 p.m.-5:45 p.m. and Grades 3-6: 5:45 p.m.-6:30 p.m.
Westmont Hilltop Junior-Senior High School, 200 Fair Oaks Drive
Grades 7-12: 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
In addition to this opportunity for families and students to become familiar with their teachers and classroom surroundings for the upcoming school year, the following information is offered to help get things off to a good start for the Hilltopper community.
Free Breakfast
Free breakfast will be offered to all Westmont Hilltop School District students for the 2022-23 school year, regardless of the family’s financial situation.
Establishing a morning routine
Students are encouraged to get a good night’s rest before school, and families are encouraged to establish a consistent morning routine in getting ready for the school day. This includes a healthy breakfast and appropriate clothing choices to match the changing outdoor temperatures.
Transportation
Due to the local and nationwide shortage of bus drivers, changes have been made to the bus transportation routes in the district. Families are encouraged to verify their bus stops and pick-up/drop-off times for their residences. Bus Schedules
Lockers for Junior-Senior High School Students
Students in Grades 7-12 should be comfortable in the ability to open and close their lockers, and are encouraged to come in for locker practice to ensure a stress-free first day. Please call the main office at 814-255-8726 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to make arrangements. All 7th graders will eat lunch during first lunch period.
Calendar Reminder
