For this week's assignments we will be utilizing the Explore Learning website again. There are three assignments for this week and you will have to complete the Student Exploration Sheet for the Water Cycle assignment. The assessments (3) for each assignment will need completed as well. If you haven't enrolled through the website yet, please follow the steps from last week's announcement. The student exploration worksheet(s) can be printed and completed (if you are able to) or just write the answers on a separate sheet of paper. If you are able, send the completed sheet(s) through google classroom via private message to me. Could be as simple as a picture attachment. If you do not have the ability (lack of phone, printer, etc.) feel free to answer utilizing paper/pencil, and keep it in a folder for when we come together as a class again.
Codes will remain the same for this week's assignments:
Period 1 (Parrish): BMFM5K
Period 2 (Oliveros): W63WHD
Period 7 (Harnett): PN4TV8
Period 8 (Shoff): DTZBXD
The three assignments for this week are:
Natural Selection
Water Cycle
Greenhouse Effect
If it's your first time on Explore Learning, get familiar with the site (student exploration sheets, vocabulary sheets, etc.). Feel free to print off any of the material mentioned, if it helps you to answer the assessment questions (whose answers I will see). Once you feel comfortable Launch Gizmo and begin completing the activities as well as the Assessment questions at the bottom. We may continue to use this site or we may get back into the text. Depends how long we will be out for. As always, if you have questions, contact me either through email or the google classroom.
Math assignments have been assigned through the Pearson/Envision website through Classlink. The assignments for 5-8 will be the same as last week. Review and then answer utilizing paper/pencil. I can see who got on the site and reviewed and who did not. The additional assignment is 1-3 MathXL for School: Additional Practice. This, you will be able to answer directly on your computer. This also fulfills the requirement that you be given an assignment that reviews what we covered earlier in the year. I would also like for each student in my math classes to work on Education Galaxy for at least one hour for the week. Keep in mind I can see what percent completion you are at on the site. Those numbers should increase this week by at least one hour. 10-12 minutes a day won't hurt you.
As always, any questions, just ask. Talk soon.
